Product Information & Instructions

ROMetrics provides interactive tools for learning, practicing, and applying movement assessment through structured modules and simulations.

GT

Goniometry Trainer

How it is used

  • Select a model and body position (sit, stand, supine, prone).
  • Select the body region and action to be measured.
  • Click the placement guide to determine the correct goniometer placement.
  • Place the fulcrum (orange dot), the stationary arm (red dot), and the moving arm (green dot).
  • Click "Run Action" to have the model perform the range of motion (ROM).
  • Click start ROM to track angle change.
  • The virtual ROM tracker on screen will calculate the ROM for the motion.

What this teaches

  • Accurate goniometer placement.
  • Plane and axis awareness.
  • Measurement effects of positioning.

Guided instruction — this is where users learn to measure.

MT

Manual Muscle Testing

How it is used

  • Select a test and grading range.
  • Review the MMT guide if needed.
  • Toggle hands on and apply resistance interactively.
  • Assign grade from performance.

What this teaches

  • Muscle function and action.
  • Correct resistance placement.
  • Clinical grading logic.

Focuses on understanding mechanics, not memorization.

ML

Motion Lab

How it is used

  • Select region and motion.
  • Manipulate joints directly.
  • Observe coordination and sequencing.

What this teaches

  • Joint relationships.
  • Movement direction and control.
  • Foundational motion understanding.

Exploratory lab — no scoring or grading.

SE

Simulated Evaluations

How they work

  • Case-based patient scenarios. Select a case number
  • Use the assessment tools in case mode to collect ROM, MMT Grades, sensory information, and other relevant details. Case clues and a full list of grades are hidden inside the motion lab and MMT sections. Clues will pop up when at least one correct test is selected in the motions lab, and when all relevant tests are completed in the MMT section. The Goniometry case mode does not have any clues; users must read what areas are affected in accompanying labs and correctly identify what area(s) must be measured for ROM
  • Ensure the collected information from each of the three case mode sections is saved/noted.
  • Use the embedded exercise planner to generate planned programs or write in preferred exercises if not listed
  • Open the AI grader, be sure to select the matching case number, and record the findings from the case in the boxes provided. Submit your documentation and wait to be graded. Grade percentages are instantly assigned with feedback based on how accurately the information for each case (including MMT and ROM measurements) is recorded

Purpose

  • Apply skills independently.
  • Practice decision-making.
  • Prepare for practical exams.

Where instruction becomes application.

FL

Forensic Motion Lab

Focus

  • Instructions are provided within each module, along with strategies to pass each trial.
  • Read the accompanying concept for lesson details.
  • Finish the labs successfully and complete the MCQ sections that will only open when trials are completed successfully and validated.

How it is used

  • Observe task outcomes.
  • Modify posture or strategy.
  • Analyze the mechanical cause.

PT

PT Compliance Tool

How it works

  • Audit Review: Enter business name and state, answer questions regarding patient care setting/billing, and upload the Plan of Care (ensuring all PII is removed). The AI engine provides a review of improvements or compliance status based on state standards.
  • Session Tool: Measure functional tasks and monitor improvement over time. Create a patient by entering name, age, and sex; then select them from the dropdown to save progress or archive cases.
  • Evaluation Tool: Use the checklist of performance measures to assess staff or students. Enter the individual's name and role to generate an AI executive summary for official evaluations.
  • Compliance Tracker: Monitor required documentation by accreditation body or state requirements. Users can manually add or remove criteria as needed.

Purpose

  • Manage operational compliance and audit documentation.
  • Track billing accuracy and clinical efficiency.
  • Provide competency assessment forms for staff and students.
  • Monitor patient progress over multiple sessions.

Ensures clinics stay compliant and staff stay competent while tracking patient outcomes.
